HPM Assistant Professor Katy Kozhimannil has been selected to participate in the University of Minnesota’s Building Interdisciplinary Research Careers in Women’s Health (BIRCWH) Program, which is run by the AHC Powell Center for Women’s Health with funding from the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute for Child Health and Human Development (NICHD). The program supports junior faculty members throughout the AHC in developing their research in women’s health. Kozhimannil’s research will focus on improving the quality of maternity care for vulnerable populations, including those with clinical conditions, such as diabetes or hypertension that complicate their pregnancies.
