Advancement Helps Articulate School’s Mission
The Advancement Team (A-Team) supports the school’s mission and strategic plan by promoting and strengthening relationships with students, faculty, staff, alumni, donors, community partners, and other key constituents.
Our activities include managing media relations, cultivating alumni relations, developing annual fund strategies, providing marketing assistance for student recruitment, planning special events, and fostering community connections worldwide.
We produce print, audio, video, and electronic communication for internal and external audiences to favorably position the school within the broader community.
Faculty Key to Telling the SPH Story
The A-Team works closely with faculty to share the school’s news with its many stakeholders. If you have a study about to be published, a research project newly underway, a grant award to be announced, a professional accomplishment recently recognized, or an event you want publicized, let the A-team know. We’re here to help you tell your SPH story.
To get started, simply call, email or complete an InfoAlert form.
We’ll devise a strategy to share the information with the appropriate audiences. Among the many options are:
- Alerting the media
- Writing a story for Advances
- Creating a news item for the Weekly SPHere or SPH News
- Posting to SPH’s Advances, Facebook and Twitter sites
- Creating a Public Health Moment audio or video feature
- Collaborating with other UMN communication offices
- Disseminating information to professional association outlets
