Daniel Zismer to Head ISP Program
Daniel Zismer was named director of the School of Public Health's ISP Executive Study Programs in health care administration. He has also been appointed as associate professor in the school's Division of Health Policy and Management.
Zismer comes to the University with a 25-year history in health care delivery. Most recently, he served on the senior leadership team of Essentia Health, a multi-state health system headquartered in Duluth, Minn.
Zismer takes the role that ISP founding director Vernon Weckwerth held for more than 30 years. The ISP program enhances health care leadership throughout the world by engaging top-level health care executives who are unable to take time away from their professional careers to attend an on-campus educational program.
The curriculum is offered almost entirely off campus, under the philosophy that networking in the student's home region is of the utmost value. ISP alumni include hospital CEOs and national health ministers.
