Our dual and joint degree programs provide a foundation in public health while complementing professional practice.

Business Administration

MHA/MBA Dual Degree
The MHA MBA dual degree offered by the School of Public Health and the Carlson School of Management prepares students for high-level careers in the biomedical pharmaceutical and medical device industries.

Dentistry

Public Health Dentistry DDS/MPH
Pair your DDS with a MPH and learn how to shape a dental practice that serves the whole community. The Public Health Dentistry (DDS/MPH) dual degree program is designed for students who are applying to or enrolled in an accredited dental school at any college and university in the country. If you are a practice dentist, please consider the Executive MPH in Public Health Practice.

Law

Thinking about a JD degree or already enrolled in law school? You can pursue a dual JD-MPH degree in any of these public health specialties.

Public Health Law JD/MPH
The Public Health Practice major allows you to gain a understanding of public health issues and interventions.

Public Health Administration and Policy JD/MPH
The PHAP program trains students to become leaders and innovators in public health management, analysis, and policy. The dual degree enables students to formulate and implement public health policies through laws and regulation.

Health Care Administration JD/MHA
The Master of Health care Administration (MHA) program offers training in health organization leadership.

Community Health Promotion JD/MPH
Community Health Promotion aims to improve the health of communities.

Nursing

Public Health Nursing Practice DNP/MPH
The DNP/MPH dual degree program allows DNP students to bridge the knowledge of nursing and public health to address public health policy issues and create and implement evidence-based interventions to improve the health of populations. Applicants must be applying to or be a DNP student in any accredited DNP program at any college or university in the country to be eligible for this dual degree.

Pharmacy

Public Health Pharmacy PharmD/MPH
Pair your Pharmacy degree with an MPH to learn about disease prevention interventions, population management, and patient education. The PharmD/MPH dual degree program is designed for pharmacy students who are presently enrolled in or applying to any accredited pharmacy school at any college or university in the country. If you are a practicing pharmacist, please consider the Executive Program in Public Health Practice.

Public Policy

Public Health Public Policy MPP/MPH
The Public Health Public Policy degree trains students to address public policies with a public health perspective. Applicants are required to be applying or admitted to any MPP accredited program at any college or university in the country to be eligible for the dual degree.

Urban & Regional Planning

Urban & Regional Planning MURP/MPH
The MURP/MPH degree gives students the knowledge to influence how neighborhoods, cities, and regions develop from a perspective that puts community and population health first. Applicants are required to be applying or admitted to any MURP accredited program at any college or university in the country to be eligible for the dual degree.

Social Work

Community Health Education MSW/MPH
