This student-driven organization is committed to service through volunteer work at community agencies throughout the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. The goal is to impact the lives of Minneapolis/St. Paul residents in need through community service events and education, while also engaging current Master of Health Care Administration students, faculty and alumni in activities that will aid in their development as compassionate leaders.

Member Responsibilities

Chairman and Chairman-Elect Responsibilities

  • To lead the design and development of the MHA Community Stewardship Initiative
  • To guide the implementation of the MHA Community Stewardship Initiative
  • To meet regularly with one another
  • To meet regularly with the MHA Community Stewardship Initiative Committee
  • To be a source of information regarding community service for master of health care administration students, faculty, and alumni
  • To remain dedicated to the mission, objectives, and values of the MHA Community Stewardship Initiative

Liaison Responsibilities

  • To work with chosen organizations directly to set-up community service events
  • To educate master of health care administration students and faculty regarding his/her topic
  • To effectively communicate with the Community Stewardship Initiative Committee and Co-Chairs
  • To attend, prepare, and actively participate in monthly meetings

Committee Member Responsibilities

  • To serve as a liaison between the committee and a designated organization to set up community service events.
  • To be a source of information regarding community service for master of health care administration students, faculty, and alumni.
  • To effectively communicate with the Community Stewardship Initiative Committee and Co-chairs.
  • To attend, prepare, and actively participate in monthly meetings.
