Midwest Center for Occupational Health & Safety

The MCOHS Continuing Education Program provides a variety of training courses in occupational and environmental health and safety professional disciplines including:

  • Occupational and Environmental Health Nursing
  • Occupational and Environmental Medicine
  • Industrial Hygiene (including Hazardous Substances)
  • Occupational Safety

The Continuing Education Program is a visible outreach link between academic core directors and practicing specialists on a local, regional, and national basis and works with faculty and staff to build community linkages and support diverse continuing education efforts such as short courses, workshops, conferences, and technology-enhanced learning initiatives.

Graduate Education & Training

The MCOHS Academic Program supports graduate training in industrial hygiene (including a focus in hazardous substances), occupational and environmental health nursing, injury epidemiology and control, occupational medicine, occupational health services research and policy and the national occupational research agenda. Customized Course Development

Centers for Public Health Education & Outreach

MCOHS is one of the centers in the Centers for Public Health Education and Outreach, which promotes lifelong learning to bridge academic and public health practice communities.
