The TEAM Approach: Pandemic: Are You Prepared?

This event took place on April 20, 2006.

Worldwide outbreaks of disease, or pandemics, have occurred throughout human history, causing millions of deaths. Based on the SARS and previous influenza outbreaks, scientists and other health professionals are concerned that a new pandemic could spread rapidly and cause chaos. But with the right preparations, industry, communities, health care facilities, and the public will know what to do when a pandemic strikes.

View and hear presentations from three public health professionals working on pandemic preparations:

Pandemic Influenza Preparedness / Robert Einweck, Public Health Preparedness Coordinator, St Paul-Ramsey County Department of Public Health (21:52)

Family and Personal Preparedness Planning / Gina Adasiewicz, Public Health Coordinator, Dakota County Public Health Department (19:21)

Risk Communication / Buddy Ferguson, Risk Communication Specialist, Minnesota Department of Health (24:44)
