The Centers for Public Health Education and Outreach (CPHEO) promotes lifelong learning in support of academic and public health practice partners.
The CPHEO accomplishes this through the following:
CPHEO develops partnerships with public health agencies and organizations, building a network of academic and practice professionals who can effectively respond to critical public health issues.
CPHEO expands public health professionals' access to new discoveries through support of the translation and dissemination of public health research and opportunities for continuous learning. This is accomplished through expertise in quality curriculum and instructional design methods, innovative application of technology-enhanced learning methods, and the convening of educational events.
The CPHEO is an integrated resource in the School of Public Health that contributes to the education, research and service mission of the School by collaborating with academic and practice professionals to identify and respond to existing public health professional and community learning needs and to proactively create learning opportunities to prepare public health practitioners to address issues impacting local, national and global public health in the future.
