Occupational Health and Safety

Since 1977, the Midwest Center for Occupational Health and Safety (MCOHS) has actively served the Midwest by offering graduate training programs and continuing education courses in the field of occupational health and safety. This Education and Research Center is sponsored, in part, by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health.

Providing National Leadership in:

  • Industrial Hygiene (including a focus in Hazardous Substances)
  • Occupational Injury Prevention Research Training
  • Occupational and Environmental Health Nursing

  • Occupational Health Services Research and Policy

The Midwest Center for Occupational Health and Safety also provides continuing education to prepare occupational health and safety professionals to address current and emerging threats to the nation's workforce.  Courses range from short updates to five-day certificate based trainings in:

    • Continuing Education in Occupational Health and Safety
    • Hazardous Substances Training Continuing Education
    • Agricultural Safety and Health Continuing Education
