SPH Career Services Mission

The mission of the School of Public Health Career Services office is to offer students and alumni the resources and opportunities necessary to launch and develop their public health careers. We accomplish this mission by providing an array of services to ensure our students make educated career decisions and develop lifelong career management skills.

Our commitment towards fulfilling that mission means that we will:

  • Give all students and alumni equal access to career services;
  • Support the development of job search and career management skills of our students and alumni by offering tools that allow each person to assess his/her own skills and interests and assume responsibility for his/her own career goals;
  • Recommend multiple and effective approaches to job search;
  • Encourage ongoing career development;
  • Provide employers and agencies with a simple means of posting their public health internships, volunteer opportunities, fellowships, and public health jobs;
  • Reach out to employers to provide ways to connect with SPH students;
  • Keep updated about current career resources and on issues related to the market for public health careers.

Guided by The National Career Development Association’s Ethical Standards, Section A, Article A.5.C,  the Career Services staff refrains from interacting with students via on-line social networking with the exception of announcing Career or Student Services events. Thank you for understanding!
