The Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH) has appointed School of Public Health Dean John Finnegan as an academic representative on the Council on Education for Public Health’s (CEPH) Board of Councilors.

CEPH is an independent agency recognized by the US Department of Education to accredit schools of public health and public health programs offered in settings other than schools of public health.

From 2013 to 2015, Finnegan served as board chair of ASPPH. His new appointment is for a three-year term extending through 2018.
