Weihong Tang earned an M.D. in preventive medicine from West China University of Medical Sciences in Chengdu, China, and an M.S. in epidemiology from Peking Union Medical College in Beijing, China. She earned a Ph.D. in epidemiology from the University of Minnesota. Her research interests include the genetic risk factors that contribute to cardiovascular disease.
