Public Health Practice

Katherine Waters is a veterinarian and a graduate of the University of Minnesota Executive Program in Public Health Practice. In 2007 she completed a veterinary public health residency with the University of Minnesota's Center for Animal Health and Food Safety in the College of Veterinary Medicine and is a diplomat of the American College of Veterinary Preventive Medicine.

In addition to directing the EPPHP program, she is a program leader with U of M Extension, where her work focuses on food systems and disaster education.

 

Waters' research and teaching interests are in global public health, zoonotic diseases, emergency planning and risk communication.
