Admissions

Admissions Clinical Research M.S.

This program is designed for individuals interested in a research career in academia, industry, research institutes, health agencies, or regulatory agencies.

Applicants must have an advanced health professional degree such as M.D., D.D.S., D.V.M., Pharm.D., Ph.D. or any other advanced doctoral degree in a clinical biomedical field; or an advanced nursing degree (such as a MS in Nursing or MSN). In addition, students must have completed or be at an advanced stage of their clinical practice training, and be affiliated with someone at the University of Minnesota who can provide advising and access to a clinical project. The admissions committee will consider exceptions on an individual basis.
Preferred performance levels are:

  • GPA of 3.0
  • TOEFL score of 600/250/100 (international applicants)
  • The GRE is not required because all applicants must have an advanced health professional degree

Application Process

Applicants must submit their application directly to SOPHAS, the centralized online application service.

The admissions application is not considered complete until all supporting documentation has been received.  Please plan ahead and pay special attention to the priority deadline of Dec. 15, 2007.  The final deadline for the program for fall 2008 is April 15, 2008. No exceptions will be made to this deadline.
