Why choose the Executive Program in Public Health Practice?
The Executive Program in Public Health Practice (EPHP) offers working professionals with advanced degrees an opportunity to gain knowledge and skills to understand, assess, and manage population health in public health, health care, and human services settings.
Many students will use their public health knowledge and skills to enhance effectiveness and opportunities in their current work or career path. Population science is an increasingly valued area of expertise in many health and human service organizations.
Who is eligible for the program?
Applicants must have significant work experience in the area of health or human service; and an advanced degree, such as and MS, MD, DDS, DVM, PharmD, or PhD.
How long does the program take?
Students may complete the program in as little as 15 months of full-time study.
Can I focus on a particular specialty?
Students select an established focus area or design their own. Examples of possible focus areas are:
- Food safety and biosecurity
- Public health leadership
- Preparedness, response, and recovery
- Risk assessment
- Cultural Competency
How do I apply?
Is financial aid available?
Limited scholarships may be available for PHCert-FSB students. The availability of funds varies from year to year. Information about funding opportunities is usually available the February preceding the Public Health Institute (PHI). Check the PHI website for scholarship and tuition support opportunities in February!
Students are eligible for federal financial aid. You must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered. Please note that a certain number of credits must be taken during a term in order to receive aid.
