Internships
The MS in HSRP&A research and policy concentration (Plan B) has opportunities for a paid internship.
Students are placed at organizations in the community where they receive "hands on" experience in health services research, are mentored, and have opportunities to contribute to projects within the sponsoring organization.
Students apply skills learned from the program to their internship. Many students use their internship experience as the foundation for their Master's thesis.
Unique Features of the MS-HSRP&A Internship
- The MS-HSRP&A program has developed partnerships with many organizations in the Twin Cites where student interns are placed.
- Most internships are paid; included is a salary and half the student's tuition and health insurance.
- Students have the opportunity to interview with multiple organizations to find the internship site with the best match for their interests and skills.
- Internships begin in the first semester, and continue for two years.
