Admissions

Applicants should have a strong commitment to formulating policies or assuming organizational leadership with the goal of preventing disease and promoting health across populations. Applicants should have some work experience in public health, such as serving as a volunteer, completing an internship, or full-time employment in a public health setting.

Admissions decisions are made on a rolling basis, beginning in December. Complete applications are forwarded to the coordinator who convenes the PHAP admissions committee to review the applications. Please allow 5-6 weeks for the admissions review process. Applicants will be notified by mail of the admission decision. To be considered for scholarships, the priority deadline is December 15. However, applications will be accepted until April 15 or when the class is filled, whichever comes first.
