HIV/STI Intervention & Prevention Studies (HIPS)

The mission of the HIPS program is to advance the health of the community, locally, nationally and internationally, through research, education and service activities.

Research

We design, pilot and evaluate “next generation” HIV prevention interventions and conduct research in new methods to promote positive sexual health and reduce HIV/STI risk.

Outreach

We prioritize activities and direct community service that will positively impact the under-served and populations most impacted by HIV/STI.

Training

We train students seeking a career in HIV/STI prevention.

QUICK FACT:

HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections (STI’s) are among the greatest health threats worldwide.
