Getting Started

Note: Effective April 13, 2012, all personnel listed on the Proposal Routing Form (PRF) accompanying a grant submission must have submitted their 2011 REPA before the proposal can be submitted to the agency. In addition, no awards (continuations, amendments, new awards, etc.) will be set up unless all the personnel listed on the PRF have an approved REPA on file.

Internal Review Form (IRF)

The first step in the proposal submission process is to complete the Internal Review Form (IRF).  This form should be completed and submitted to Dr. Harlow for approval at least two (2) months prior to the agency deadline. 

Deadlines

Note: Internal deadline e-mails will be sent to PIs when IRFs are received by Anne Everett or Charlotte Flipp.

Grants.gov submissions:

EpiCH Deadline: 10 working days prior to the NIHdeadline
SPA Deadline: 5 working days prior to the NIH deadline

NON-Grants.gov proposals:
All non-Grants.gov proposals must be submitted to SPA at least 24 hours prior to the sponsor’s submission deadline.

There are no exceptions to these deadlines.

Progress reports to continue support of a PHS grant must be submitted two (2) months prior to the beginning date of the next budget period using the PHS 2590 Application Forms.
