Community Engagement
Each year the HDWG sponsors a forum. The purpose of the forums is to bring in national speakers to discuss emerging issues in health disparities research. These forums are designed for health professionals, community members, students, and faculty concerned with reducing health disparities.
Previous keynote speakers have included Dr. John Lynch at McGill University, Dr. Tony Yancey at the University of California, Dr. Michael Trujillo at the Inter-Tribal Council of Arizona, U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.), and Jeffrey Korsmo at Mayo Clinic Health Policy Center.
