The Health Disparities Working Group mission is to give greater visibility to health disparities research at the University of Minnesota, School of Public Health (SPH) and nationally; develop collaborations with faculty and community partners; and ensure SPH students are well- trained to work in a diverse society.

Stephanie Hernandez
Stephanie Hernandez is on her way to complete her MPH in Maternal & Child Health with an Epidemiology focus and a concentration in Health Disparities.
In addition to her studies, Stephanie recently started working as an HIV Case Manager at West Side Community Health Services (La Clinica) where she works with patients from many different backgrounds.
Stephanie is currently working on a combined field experience/master's project doing an evaluation of the Aqui Para Ti program - a comprehensive care clinic (part of the HCMC system) for Latino youth and their parents/guardians.
In her spare time, Stephanie likes to read, spend time with her friends and family, and travel with her husband (especially to the Dominican Republic to visit her husband's family and friends).
