PROGRAMS

ISP Asia offers three different tracks to achieving the ISP credential: Ambulatory Care (ACA), Hospital Administration (HA) and Patient Care Administration (PCA).

These three tracks, or programs, represent various skills that work together in healthcare administration, forming an integrated whole. For this reason, students in ACA, HA and PCA take several units in common.

To complete the Master's in Healthcare Administration (MHA), qualified candidates must successfully complete the three year-long courses (36 credits total) constituting ISP's Executive Study Program (I, II, and III). In addition to the successful completion of the three-year ISP program, an additional 10 semester credits of graduate course work is required for the master's degree. The student is then required to submit a master's thesis.

To complete the Master of Public Health (MPH) in the Executive Program in Public Health Practice qualified candidates must successfully complete the three year-long courses (36 credits total) constituting ISP’s Executive Study Program (I, II, III). In addition to the successful completion of the three-year ISP program, an additional 8 credits of graduate coursework offered online is required for the Master of Public Health degree. The student is then required to submit a master’s thesis.

Courses I & II

(One year each)
20 Credits (10 Semester Credits per year)

OUTPATIENT ADMINISTRATION
Ambulatory Care now facilitates the learning of administrators of a variety of services. These include those charged with the broader work of the expanding community. In addition to the management of clinics and medical group practices, recent students have been involved in home health services, mental health, network development, government relations, outreach programs, community health promotion, and a huge array of subspecialties such as athletic medicine and rehab services… including managed care.

INPATIENT ADMINISTRATION
Hospital Administration has expanded to include administrators not only of hospitals, but of nursing homes, hospice care and other institutional services. The demarcation is made between the types of care provided rather than the institutional label because of the distinctly different skills needed in the management of these services.

PATIENT CARE OUTPATIENT AND INPATIENT
Patient Care Administration program covers the role of the patient care executive and can take place in acute, ambulatory or institutional services and the management challenge in dealing with direct patient care is addressed.

Course III

(one year)
16 Semester credits

Students successfully completing Courses I and II (ACA, HA or PCA) become part of an integrated student cohort during the third year.
