Mark Pereira, School of Public Health, was quoted in the New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Star Tribune, Reuters News Service, Scripps Howard News Service, Pioneer Press, Orlando Sentinel, and other newspapers and TV stations across the country regarding research that links coffee to a lower risk of developing type 2 diabetes.

Wednesday, June 28

Michael Osterholm, School of Public Health, was quoted by Bloomberg News Service regarding the bird flu.

Mark Pereira, School of Public Health, was quoted in the Sydney Morning Herald and Contra Costa Times regarding a study that link coffee to lower diabetes risk.  This story was originally published by Reuters and the Orlando Sentinel.  The research was also featured on numerous other news Web sites and mentioned on KARE 11 News, Fox News, KABC-TV in Los Angeles, WJBK-TV in Detroit and WAGA-TV in Atlanta.
