About National Public Health Week
Since 1996, the American Public Health Association has organized National Public Health Week and developed campaigns to educate the public, policy-makers, and public health professionals about issues important to improving the public’s health.
This year's theme is: A Healthier America: One Community at a Time.
National Public Health Week at the SPH
Each year our School sponsors a week of activities in conjuntion with National Public Health Week. This year's activities include:
The 7th annual Public Health Film Festival
Each night features a different genre of public health films and includes guest speakers and panel discussions.
SPH Student Research Day
Research Day is a time to:
- Honor and celebrate the research endeavors of public health students
- Show others the kind of research activities possible in public health by students.
- Encourage students to consider further research in their public health careers.
- Give all SPH students the experience of developing and presenting a poster.
