Community Partners Awards 2011
The timing of this year’s event is quite appropriate. We are very thankful for all of the School of Public Health’s partners, and the 150 guests who attended our recognition event on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 5-7 p.m., held at the McNamara Alumni Center.
Stella Whitney-West, CEO of NorthPoint Health and Wellness provided keynote remarks.
This year, we honored 15 individual Star recipients, 2 organizations, 1 agency, and 17 mentors. They are being recognized for their outstanding commitment to the engagement of SPH students, faculty, and staff.

Community Partner Organization Awards
Medtronic was nominated by the division of Biostatistics for partnering in the creation of a new Executive Certificate in Applied Biostatistics, providing some funding for new faculty members, and supporting a RA position.

Stratis Health was nominated by the division of Health Policy and Management for the assistance in securing/winning a grant that led to a partnership. Rosalie Kane wrote “They have been active in developing learning modules and web-based materials, and have been unfailingly responsive to changing project needs and creative in problem solving.”

Community Partner Agency Award
The Public Health Law Center at William Mitchell was nominated by the division of Epidemiology and Community Health for their ongoing collaboration with several EpiCH faculty, support of our students, and providing a unique local resource.
