  • Michael Osterholm was quoted in the New York Times about public health surveillance and enforcement in response to the recent incident where a man with a drug-resistant type of tuberculosis flew on a commercial airplane. The article also appeared in the Barre Montpelier Times Argus. A second article was published by the Canadian Press quoting Osterholm about how easily infectious diseases spread. The article appeared in the Toronto Star, the Hamilton Spectator, Canada East, and CTV.CA.

  • Alan Bender was interviewed by Minnesota Public Radio about research he will conduct examining if talconite is contributing to the high incidence in mesothelioma, a rare lung cancer, in men from northeastern Minnesota.
