  • Michael Osterholm was quoted in a United Press International story about Pandemic Practices, a newly-released influenza pandemic database for public health planners.


Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007

  • Mary Story was quoted by The Washington Post regarding her research that is backing a legislative push to limit selling sports drinks at public schools because of their poor level of nutrition.


Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007

  • Dianne Neumark-Sztainer was quoted on WFRV-channel 5 in Green Bay, Wis., about her Project EAT research which found that girls who participated in regular family meals were less likely to develop disordered eating habits.
  • Rosalie Kane was quoted in the Star Tribune about the pending decision to either give control of Minnesota’s veteran’s homes back to a state agency or keep them under control of a volunteer board.


Friday, Sept. 28, 2007

  • Alan Bender and Jeffrey Mandel were quoted in the September issue of Minnesota Medicine in an article about their research which explores the relationship between exposure to taconite dust and cancer.
