  • Dianne Neumark-Sztainer was quoted in an Ivanhoe Newswire article about her research which found that overweight teens are also at risk for participating in extreme weight control behaviors.
  • Rosalie Kane was quoted in the Boston Globe about a new type of long-term care facility for elderly persons.

Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007

  • Pat McGovern was quoted in a Star Tribune article which announces the U as a lead site for the National Children’s Study. McGovern was interviewed on WMNN-radio, WCCO-radio, and MPR on Thursday morning about the study.
  • Research by Dianne Neumark-Sztainer was referenced in an article in the Louisville Courier-Journal. Her research found that teens who regularly eat dinner with their families are more likely to eat more fruit and vegetables and drink fewer soft drinks in young adulthood.
