  • Kristin Anderson was quoted by Shakopee Valley News regarding the link between alcohol consumption and the risk of developing breast cancer.


Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007

  • Dianne Neumark-Sztainer was quoted in eMaxHealth.com about her research which found that a large percentage of overweight teens engage in many of the same extreme weight-loss measures as their thin peers. A second article appeared in Pretoria News and was originally published by Reuters. Neumark-Sztainer was also quoted in a CBS News story in Philadelphia about the benefits of eating together as a family.
  • Lynn Blewett was quoted in the Minnesota Daily about the debate over the SCHIP bill.
  • Rosalie Kane was quoted in the Monterey County Herald about a new type of long-term care facility for elderly persons. The article originally appeared in the Boston Globe.

Friday, Oct. 12, 2007

  • Research by the School of Public Health was featured in an Ivanhoe Broadcast News story about the trend of hospitals and clinics switching to a computerized physician order entry systems in order to reduce medication errors.
