Student Senate Meetings

All meetings are open to all School of Public Health students, regardless of whether or not you hold a Senate Representative position. 

The meetings are held in the SPHere (A150, Mayo Building) at 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. every other Wednesday.  The meeting dates for Spring 2008 Semester are as follows:

Events

Student Senate at Ronald McDonald HouseOn January 26 members of the Student Senate and staff members from the Dean's office cooked a meal for the residents of the Ronald McDonald House (click on the image to see a larger one). The meal was payed for from proceeds of the penny wars competition which was won by the Department of Epidemiology and Community Health. Thanks to everyone who helped prepare and serve the meal, and to everyone who participated in penny wars!

Ronald McDonald signThe SPH Senate will once again be participating in Relay for Life, a 12-hour walk-a-thon for cancer research. The event will be held at the University of Minnesota Field House April 20 at 6 pm until 6 am on April 21. Our team, the "Cancer Crushers", still needs volunteers. Faculty, staff, and students are all welcome to participate.

On March 28 we will be holding a bake sale to raise money for this event. If anyone is interested in baking something for this great cause, please email Emily Abbott or Deja Scott with items you are willing to bring.
