Course Descriptions

The online University Catalog offers a description of each course offered by the University by subject. Be sure to contact the instructor or department offering the course for the most up-to-date information regarding terms offered.

Registration Queue

The University utilizes a registration queue for fall and spring term registration.

Queue information is available in late March for fall and late October for spring.  There is no queue for summer registration. School of Public Health students are part of Stage I of the queue.

The "When do I Register?" quick link allows student to access their specific registration time.

To see the queue published in its entirety, click here.

Refund and Drop/Add Deadlines

It is extremely important to check the Refund and Drop/Add Deadlines before dropping or adding a course once the term has begun.  The calendar indicates what, if anything, is required to drop or add a course according to when the change is being made.  It also states the financial and academic consequences of dropping or adding a course. If a student is receiving financial aid it is important he/she contacts Rockne Bergman (r-berg@umn.edu), the financial aid officer for the School of Public Health before dropping a course.

Financial Aid

School of Public Health students are eligible for federal financial aid.  At the graduate level this aid comes in the form of federal loans.

Information about the financial aid application process including deadlines as well as a student's financial aid account status is available via the One Stop website by clicking on the "Financial Aid" link in the middle or by clicking on the "Financial Aid Status" quick link.

Billing and Tuition

Tuition rates, fee and billing information is available on the One Stop website by clicking on the "Tuition & Billing" link.

To see charges specific to a student account, go to the "Student Account" quick link.

Students will receive a notice in their U of MN e-mail when their bill is ready to be viewed online. The online statement will detail the amount due (tuition, fees, housing, books, and other campus charges) and the payment due date.  Click here for details on when, where and how to pay the bill.
