  • The program is located in one of the top ten schools of public health in the country.
  • We emphasize current topics in epidemiology, including the epidemiology of cardiovascular disease, cancer, other chronic diseases such as diabetes and infectious diseases; genetic epidemiology; nutrition; maternal and child health; and community-based behavioral interventions for improving public health.
  • The program has strong core methodologies, including case-control, cohort, and cross-sectional studies; and clinical and community trials.
  • Our faculty have earned national and international reputations and are widely published in the specialties mentioned above.
  • Epidemiology faculty are currently involved in over 50 research projects.
  • Division of Epidemiology and Community Health faculty average over 20 million dollars in external research funds each year.
