The four goals are: public policy development using a systems framework; interventions based on the dimensions of community and culture; assessment and application of basic public health sciences; and program management and communications principles.
Examples of possible focus areas are:
- Food safety and biosecurity
- Public health leadership
- Preparedness, response, and recovery
- Risk assessment
- Cultural Competency
- Self-designed
