"Working with professionals in the area to solve those problems was an added plus." In a group project with Fairview Hospitals, Ken worked with physicians, administrators, nurses and others to determine the feasibility of building an observational unit. Recommendations presented to senior management helped formulate a long-term plan. A healthcare mentor helped guide Ken’s professional development, while alumni networking led to an internship in Georgia and a fellowship at Duke.
