Kristin Anderson and Aaron Folsom, School of Public Health, were mentioned in the Pak Tribune (Pakistan) in relation to a study on how aspirin may ward off pancreatic cancer. Tuesday, May 9 Michael Osterholm, School of Public Health, was quoted in the New York Times, Reuters, Scripps Howard News Service, Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Charlotte Observer, and Philadelphia Inquirer about “Fatal Contact: Bird Flu in America,” the ABC movie on the bird flu. These articles appeared in numerous outlets across the country. Wednesday, May 10 The School of Public Health was mentioned in the Indianapolis Star regarding the ABC pandemic flu movie which aired last night. Thursday, May 11 Michael Osterholm, School of Public Health, was quoted in the Canadian Press yesterday afternoon about developing and delivering a vaccine for avian flu.
