Special Visit Days

Choosing the right graduate school is a big decision. Finding a program that fits your interests is the first step. To assist with the search, the SPH offers numerous events throughout the year to introduce prospective students to its programs, staff, and faculty.  All of the events are free and open to the public.

Prospective students interested in pursuing a master's degree or graduate certificate are invited to attend the following events:

School of Public Health Preview Days

Are you considering applying to the School of Public Health? Attend an SPH Preview Day and learn more about the School at this interactive event! Hear from our faculty, students, and alumni as they talk about their experiences and areas of expertise. Ask them questions about the public health field and SPH programs. Meet with a coordinator from your intended public health major who can assist with detailed application and admission questions. Learn about the resources at the School available to our students.

Preview Days will include:

  • Introduction to the School of Public Health
  • Faculty Panel
  • Alumni and Student Spotlights
  • Overview of the Application Process
  • Breakout Sessions with Major Coordinators
  • Access to Career Services, Multicultural Services, and Student Services

Please note: Prospective Ph.D. students are welcome at these events, but are strongly encouraged to be in direct contact with the Major Coordinator early in the application process.


Registering for Information Sessions and SPH Preview Days

Click here to register online. You will receive an e-mail response within 24 hours that acknowledges your registration. We will send additional information (directions, etc) by e-mail prior to your event. If you are unable to register online, you may call the Student Services Center to process your registration at 612-624-2494 or 800-774-8636 (ext. 2).

Do you need a different day? If you would like to arrange a visit for a different day, please use the above registration link, which will provide us with your background and interests. We will then be in touch with you to schedule an individual appointment.
