Occupational and Environmental Health Nursing (OEHN) provides intensive training for nurses interested in the development, management and evaluation of health services, programs, and policies designed to promote health and prevent work-related injuries and disease.

[2] Attend a minimum of 5 sessions of the Midwest Center for Occupational Health and Safety seminar series. This series includes a broad range of topics, including emerging issues in occupational health and methods to improve the scientific integrity of research. The latter includes presentations and discussions pertaining to the collection, management and safeguarding of health-related data, and the need for a multi-disciplinary understanding of research methods. This seminar is typically scheduled once per month during the regular academic year.
[3] The OEHN seminar is a new, non-credit seminar that will focus on professional role development, competency assessment & portfolio development; the details are forthcoming.
