About Executive Program in Public Health Practice
Our program is aimed at professionals with significant work experience in the area of health or human services, and who also have an advanced degree, such as an MS, MD, DDS, DVM, PharmD, or PhD, or hold a Public Health Certificate in Core Concepts.
Students may complete the program in as little as 16 months of full-time study, depending upon the term of admission.
Executive Program in Public Health Practice
Our goal is to train you to be a leader and/or practitioner who will promote public health principles in agencies delivering preventive health services and public health programs.

About the Program Director
Katherine Waters,
DVM, MPH, is a veterinarian and a graduate of the EPPHP program. In 2007 she completed a veterinary public health residency with the University of Minnesota's Center for Animal Health and Food Safety in the College of Veterinary Medicine and is a diplomat of the American College of Veterinary Preventive Medicine.
In addition to directing the EPPHP program, she is a program leader with U of M Extension, where her work focuses on food systems and disaster education.
Waters' research and teaching interests are in global public health, zoonotic diseases, emergency planning and risk communication.
