Application for Admission
December 1: Priority Deadline for SPH Scholarship Consideration
To receive priority consideration for collegiate level merit-based awards, applications must be submitted and complete, with all required supporting documentation, by December 1, 2012. Applicants meeting the December 1 deadline will be automatically considered for a range of University of Minnesota School of Public Health scholarships. Applications submitted/complete after December 1 will be given scholarship consideration based on availability of funds.
Final deadlines vary by program and applications must be submitted and complete, including all required supporting documentation, by the deadline for the program to which you are applying to receive admission consideration.
Note: We encourage applicants to submit their application and send supporting documentation at least two weeks prior to the stated deadlines to allow for any issues/problems that may arise.
MPH, MS, PhD Application Process
The online application process is through SOPHAS, the centralized Schools of Public Health Application Service.
MHA Application Process
Applicants to our Full-time and Executive MHA programs have the choice to apply via SOPHAS, the centralized Schools of Public Health Application Service or HAMPCAS, the Healthcare Administration, Management and Policy Centralized Application Service.
MHA applicants who are applying multiple programs housed in schools of public health or who are only applying to the University of Minnesota School of Public Health are encouraged to apply through SOPHAS.
If you will be applying specifically to programs in healthcare administration, management and/or policy, which may not be housed in schools of public health (for example, they may be in schools of business, medicine, nursing, health sciences, allied health, etc.), and these programs are all part of HAMPCAS, then it will be easier for you to apply to multiple schools via HAMPCAS.
Certificate Program Application Process
Public Health Core Concepts
Applicants to the Public Health Core Concepts apply through SOPHAS.
Other Certificate Programs
Applicants to all other certificate programs use the Application to Regents Certificate Programs.
