Community Engagement Subcommittee
The Health Equity Work Group Community Engagement Subcommittee sponsors activities that increase awareness of strategies to reduce health inequalities and highlight university/community partnerships.
A principle activity of this committee is the annual Health Disparities Roundtable event, held every spring. The purpose of the roundtable is to bring in national speakers to discuss emerging issues in health disparities research. This event is designed for health professionals, community members, students, and faculty concerned with reducing health disparities.
