Get Involved

The Health Equity Work Group is open to University of Minnesota students and faculty. Learn more about getting involved with the group to broaden your network and enhance your learning experience and research.

HEWG Membership Guidelines

There are two types of HEWG members: Leadership and General members. Members include faculty as well as students.

Leadership Member: Attend general meetings and participate in one of three HEWG subcommittees: Research/Training, Community Engagement, or Student Engagement. Within the sub-committee, Leadership Members will take an active role in developing and implementing activities pursued by the subcommittee.

General Member: Attend general meetings and other HEWG activities. General membership does not require the same level of time commitment as a Leadership Member, but still provides members with the opportunity to be involved with and stay informed about health disparities work.

  • Are you interested in becoming more involved with the Health Equity Work Group? Please provide your information and you will receive e-mails regarding future meetings, activities, and additional opportunities in health equity work.
