The Division of Environmental Health Sciences is pleased to welcome Susan F. Arnold, PhD, CIH, FAIHA who joined our faculty in October.

Dr. Arnold received her MS in Occupational Health from the Medical College of Ohio, and her PhD in Environmental Health from the University of Minnesota in 2015. She is a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) specializing in exposure measurement and modeling. She brings 25 years of industrial hygiene experience that included work in private industry and consulting. Her broad experience and unique skills in estimating exposures in novel occupational environments will enhance the research and teaching capacity of the industrial hygiene program.

Dr. Arnold and Dr. Gurumurthy Ramachandran are co-directors of the new Exposure Science and Sustainability Institute (ESSI), which will expand outreach to Industry through excellence in research and training.
