How can occupational systems, workplaces, industries, and communities navigate ongoing stress and build resiliency in rapidly changing times – reaching all who need and want support?
The pressures facing our workforce continue to evolve, demanding a deeper look at how we foster genuine resiliency in times of ongoing uncertainty. By reflecting on our collective learning, we aim to address emerging modern challenges and chart a strategic path forward to better support the health, safety, and well-being of our working communities.
Topics will include:
- Â Addressing the structural root causes of workplace stress, rather than focusing solely on individual coping mechanisms.
- Streamlining state-level and regional efforts to maximize resource reach without duplicating work, while embedding long-term financial and operational sustainability into wellness initiatives.
- Navigating stigma, compassion fatigue, and burnout among the workers, advocates, healthcare providers, and community leaders doing this work.
This event is hosted by the Midwest Center for Occupational Health and Safety (MCOHS) and the Upper Midwest Agricultural Safety and Health Center (UMASH).
