In this edition of the Division of Epidemiology & Community Health seminar series, Ms. Lauren Gilchrist, an SPH alumna and Executive Vice President of External Affairs at Planned Parenthood North Central States, will talk about the recent landmark legislation and policies affecting sexual and reproductive health in Minnesota and beyond.
About the Speaker
Lauren Gilchrist is a graduate of Wesleyan University and the SPH, where she obtained her MPH degree in Maternal & Child Health, with emphasis in Epidemiology. Prior to joining Planned Parenthood North Central States, she served as the Senior Policy Advisor to Governor Mark Dayton and the Lt. Governor. Ms. Gilchrist has also served in federal roles as a Health Policy Advisor to Senator Franken, and been a Health Policy Fellow on the U.S. Senate Committee for Health, Education, Labor & Pensions under the chairmanship of Senator Edward Kennedy. In her current role with Planned Parenthood, Ms. Gilchrist manages policy and political strategy, communications and marketing, education and outreach functions for this five-state health care organization (MN, ND, SD, IA, NE).
