The goal of this in–service planned by the EpiCH Research Committee is to provide an overview of several NIH individual training grant mechanisms and an opportunity to learn about the application process from EpiCH trainees and faculty who have recently received an award. The panelists will share their experiences applying for NIH individual training grant awards including an F31 (Ms. Berry), K99/R00 (Dr. Simone), and K01 (Dr. Duarte). Each panelist will briefly discuss their decision-making process and timeline for the grant submission, how they worked with their mentor/mentoring team, the submission and resubmission process, and the lessons they learned along the way. We will also hear about the process from the mentor perspective (Dr. Widome). There will also be an opportunity to ask the panelists any questions you have about training grant applications.
Everyone is welcome to attend.
