The University Of Minnesota School Of Public Health is “committed to making diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice central to its mission,” as advocates and change agents for the greater good, DE&I has been at the forefront of the school’s strategic plan. This panel consists of professionals of color within Public Health as they discuss their experiences with systemic racism in the workplace. They will offer thoughts for students around identifying red flags, the importance of ERGs, knowing when to escalate discrimination and the barriers for a vertical transition/promotion. As SPH students move on to their respective professional careers it is important for them to have a better understanding of these topics and how to navigate through these challenges.
This session is specifically designed for our BIPOC identified SPH Students.
