We are in the process of selecting the Michael Osterholm Endowed Chair in Infectious Disease Research and Policy, and have two final candidates who will be visiting the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus in March. 

Dr. Basta is an infectious disease epidemiologist, vaccinologist, and global health researcher with 20 years of experience designing, implementing, and directing population-based epidemiologic research to improve the prevention and control of infectious disease threats. She leads numerous multidisciplinary and multinational teams to generate, analyze, and translate data and evidence critical for addressing real-world challenges in the field of infectious disease epidemiology.
