Join the School of Public Health’s MHA Program and the MHA Alumni Association for Resilience in Healthcare Leadership: Practicing Self-Care to Prevent Burnout” with Amer Kaissi, PhD ’03.
The recent COVID pandemic has magnified the stressors that healthcare leaders typically deal with. While a certain level of stress is to be expected in a fast-paced and 24/7 industry like healthcare, chronic stress can lead to burnout and a multitude of negative personal, team and organizational outcomes. This short talk focuses on the key behaviors that leaders can practice when leading themselves, their teams and their organizations through the current pandemic and beyond. Drawing on the latest research and compelling case studies based on his executive coaching experience, Dr. Kaissi will propose a practical model of resilience with specific behaviors.
