In October 2022, we invited students, staff, faculty, and recent alumni to participate in the School of Public Health’s (SPH) second biennial climate assessment, organized by the SPH Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Team and the U of M Office of Measurement Services (OMS). The survey assessed the school’s progress as it pertains to diversity, equity, inclusion, and antiracism.
We are excited to share key results from the assessment in this community forum. We will recognize areas of success as well as recommit to areas where we may improve. Using the 2020 climate assessment as a baseline, we will identify some ways our culture has changed over the last two years. Breakout sessions will provide participants the opportunity to reflect upon the results of the survey and how we can move forward together.
SPH students, staff, faculty, and alumni are invited to join us for this important community forum as we recognize our shared successes and consider the areas we must focus on to ensure an inclusive, equitable culture.
