Colin Planalp, Senior Research Fellow at SHADAC, will discuss adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and their pernicious role in undermining the health of both children and adults. He will present data on the prevalence of ACEs across the states and demographic sub-populations, as well as describing strategies to mitigate the harm of ACEs as an approach to enhancing people’s health and wellbeing.

Learn more about Colin Planalp

Colin Planalp has almost two decades of experience in health policy research and communications. Since joining the University of Minnesota School of Public Health in 2014, he has conducted research and provided technical assistance to states and federal agencies on a variety of topics, including innovative solutions to filling gaps in data on social determinants of health, measuring health disparities and efforts to enhance health equity, and furthering health care payment reform through multi-payer quality measure alignment.
